As not only a successful business owner and business coach, one thing that I hear a lot of pointed in my direction is that – ‘It’s okay for you, you’re lucky!’

Now let me just say this………🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Am I lucky? Am I really?

Lucky that I put in long hours.

Lucky that I continually put time and effort into personal growth.

Lucky I make the effort to surround myself with the right people.

Lucky I consciously put effort into my goals and dreams.

Oh yeh, the amount of ways I’m ‘lucky’ could go on and on 🤣

Personally, I think that’s a fairly ignorant statement because it doesn’t account for all of the sacrifices and hard work that it takes to get ‘lucky’.

You see most people just see the Show and that’s what they want. Think of a Broadway musical. The show they put on is brilliant, people love it, they give a standing ovation – they’d love to be able to do that themselves.

But all they see is the Show not the hours of hard work and personal sacrifice that goes into it.

Business is like that. People normally just see the end result. The Show. The bit where you get ‘lucky’ – that’s the bit they want.

So if you’re a business owner or thinking about going into business, and one day someone tells you how ‘lucky’ you are, maybe take it as a compliment. Take it as praise for a job well done because for all your hard work, the ‘Show’ you’re putting on must be pretty damn fine!
